This year, a variety of special education workers have been selected to receive the appreciation award: Kindergarten Directors, SPED teachers, a School Principal, Physiotherapist and more

The Ceremony

In a special ceremony that took place at the President's residence in Jerusalem, together with the Ministry of Education, Athena Fund presented 16 exceptional workers in special education with a certificate of excellence. After the ceremony, these outstanding women met with Israel's President Yitzhak Herzog and his wife, Michal.

The sixteen exceptional workers in special education were chosen from nominees from all over the country, nominated by the 8 education counties. Two were chosen from each county.
